MuxEmail uses Amazon SES to send high-performing emails to your subscribers while lowering your email marketing cost by 10X.

Amazon SES is the most reliable email sending server on the planet. Used by millions of small and large businesses, you can not only expect high deliverability from SES but lower costs as well! Your first 62,000 emails every month are free. And after that, you'll just be spending $1 for every 10,000 emails you send. Just connect SES with MuxEmail once and you can say goodbye to cost headaches forever.

Unlike legacy email services, MuxEmail is a tag-based email marketing platform and not list-based. This superior subscriber management system means that you have more control over your audience, better subscriber organization, and the best part - you can maintain better engagement with your list because they'll feel like you know them.

You’ll be able to create tags based on what type of content each subscriber wants in their inboxes (e.g., product updates, discounts) or based on their interests(e.g., cat-people, dog-people). With our easy tagging system, you can make sure that every subscriber gets exactly what they want in their inbox.

Segmenting your audience is an important process for any email marketer or creator - but it doesn't have to be difficult! With MuxEmail, it's easy to create unlimited subscriber groups based on people's interests, tags, and past campaign behavior.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Amazon Simple Email Service?

Amazon SES is one of the services offered under Amazon Web Services suite. It is cost-effective (the first 62,000 emails you send every month are free followed by $1 for every 10,000 emails you send), flexible, and scalable email service (it's a cloud-based service). It’s the service of choice for huge players like Duolingo, Reddit, and Netflix.

Why do I need an AWS account to get started with MuxEmail?

MuxEmail uses Amazon's Infrastructure (via your Amazon SES account) to send out your emails. That is why it's essential that you have an AWS account to be able to use MuxEmail. Creating an AWS account is easy (takes less than 10 minutes) and is completely free.

Can I use MuxEmail to send out cold emails?

We recommend that you do not use MuxEmail to send out cold emails. We have algorithms in place which are able to identify if you are using MuxEmail for sending out cold emails. Sending out cold emails might lead to your account being blocked.

What kind of integrations does MuxEmail have?

We have native integration with Zapier and Pabbly Connect. These integrations allow you to connect your MuxEmail account with over 2000+ 3rd party applications. We also have webhooks and apis allowing you to perform a range of functions.

Is MuxEmail GDPR compliant?

Yes, we are!

Can I perform automations with MuxEmail?

You can perform basic automation using Sequences. You can send a series of delayed emails to all your subscribers, or a segment of your subscribers.

How many sending domains can I have inside my Amazon SES account?

Amazon SES allows upto 10,000 domains per SES region.

Does MuxEmail put any restrictions on the number of sending domains I can have?

At the moment, we do not put any restrictions on the number of sending domains you have. We allow all domains you have authenticated with your connected SES account.

How do I enable email sending on my Amazon SES account?

All new accounts are placed in the sandbox mode by default. While your account is in the sandbox, you cannot send emails. You will have to request 'production access' via their request-form. All requests are reviewed by humans. So be as genuine as possible.

Do you have workspaces (agency features) and team access?

We do not have workspaces at the moment. However, we'd like to encourage you create fresh accounts for every business you handle. We’ll add the ability to connect workspaces when we launch the feature. Team access for each workspace will also be enabled.

Loving MuxEmail. The UI is beautiful and the tool is clearly powerful, but what I most appreciate as a new user is the support from the team and the passion behind this product.

The roadmap is looking promising (Native WooCommerce integration, RSS,
AMP emails, drag-and-drop flow builder for your automation, Wordpress integration... etc.)

The Amazon SES was super easy to setup and I also got upgraded to 50,000 sending emails per day by Amazon without any difficulties. More importantly, I sent a test email and the deliverability was great. It did NOT go to the spam folder, which is very crucial for any email marketing tool.

DO NOT miss this deal. You won't worry about email marketing costs anymore but instead you can buy more LTDs in here!

I'm loving MuxEmail. I actually opened up a free account to set up SES and all of that before getting the Tier 3 (a no brainer deal to be honest).

So I got the AWS account and the SES set up and out of the sandbox. It was quite easy and I followed the on-screen instructions. I initially got rejected by SES and asked more info but I was just more thorough and my explanation and I shared that I was using MuxEmail to remove bounces and unsubscribes and I got approved quickly for that.

After that and before buying, I loaded up 6 email addresses in different providers (Gmail, Hotmail, etc. etc.) and they all inboxed! (even with clear spam words in the email itself - millions, free, etc)

This deal really is a no brainer.

I got Tier 3 because of UNLIMITED plus having 20 workspaces means I can use this same system with some of my clients (also UNLIMITED on those Workspaces - which is NUTS), I'd just have to cover the SES cost which is ridiculously well priced. (if your bill came to $100 you sent a MILLION emails)

I'm also pumped about the roadmap as I can see where this is headed with the visual automation features and all that.

Plus, because my deliverability is separate from other people's on the platform, this means I won't get spamboxed because someone else is sending low-quality stuff. This is another powerful feature.

Some things I'm looking forward to:
    Subject line split testing
    Visual Automation Editor
Send the winner of a split test a few hours after automatically to the rest of the list
    Sendgrid integration

Anyway, great deal, thanks Mohamed and Nihal.

Clean, easy to use UI and stellar support? What's not to love? Grab this deal before it's too late! Does MuxEmail make it super easy to connect to Amazon SES and start saving massive amounts of money on email? Yes! Is the founder present, invested, and ready to build an amazing tool that we can all value and use daily for years to come? Yes!

Does it currently have all of the bells and whistles you're used to on Mailchimp or similar? No, not at all. But if you want to get in on something that will pay for itself the first time you send an email, then just grab MuxEmail, contribute your ideas, and look forward to the improvements as they come.

I bought this deal right away since it allows you to connect your own Amazon SES account, plus segment, workspace, connect multiple Amazon SES account and the founder seems motivated to bring more features.
Connecting Amazon SES can be overwhelming and the support team able to help me out right away.
But it was all worth it and easy to do it. Now I manage to connect more domains to my Amazon SES account by myself. 🙂
Thank you Nihal and looking forward for all the new updates.

I just got the app, so this is a “qualified” review, meaning I haven’t had time to set everything up or send a bunch of emails yet. But since the deal is ending soon, it seemed neighborly to share my first impressions. I can update this later if need be. I received no codes or consideration for these comments.

After buying over 400 apps (including a handful of recent email marketing softwares) and doing some coding on the side, I think MuxEmail’s dashboard hits all the marks for a clean and convenient interface. The workflow for broadcast messages is basic, but sufficient. If your priority is immediate automations, try hosting Mautic for free - their confusing UI can take hours to set up a single campaign.

I think MuxEmail’s Q&A answers are honest and to the point. It’s a young company and I couldn’t find a physical office address listed on their website, so there may be some risk. But everything showing so far looks good or great; the price per contact is unbeatable; and their roadmap covers all my needs. So for me, that’s a strong buy signal (Tier 3). If you’re still on the fence, don’t miss out!

A final note: I used SendGrid’s Essentials Plan for the past 2 years ($16/month). Recently, it inexplicably stopped delivering messages to many Hotmail and Yahoo accounts. Their support team agreed it wasn’t my fault and told me the shared IP pool was dirty, but I could try again in a few days. Or get a dedicated IP address for $90/month. You can reach your own conclusions.

Just to clarify, for example you have an email list of 10 people and all of these 10 people live in different time zones. So you want these people to receive emails depending on the time zone they are in?

April 6, 2021

Looks nice! Got some questions:

1. Does the tool show analytics inside the dashboard (deliverability, bounces, etc.), or do we need to go to our SES dashboard for it?
2. Any ETAs for HTML template import function?
3. Is the UI mobile-friendly/responsive?
4. How big is the team, and how many dedicated support people?
5. Now that it's a ritual, dark mode in the pipeline?

Thanks!

Nihal from MuxEmail
April 7, 2021

Hey there -

1. As soon as you send out a broadcast to your subscribers, we start showing you real time data as to who opened, clicked (which link and how many times), bounced emails and unsubscribes in the reports section.

2. Currently we cannot give you an ETA for HTML import function.

3. The UI is currently not 100% mobile friendly, but you'll be able to navigate through the app and perform certain actions on mobile. Our team is working towards making the app mobile friendly and should be able to do it by the end of this month.

4. Currently we are a team of 6 members - 4 developers and 2 marketing/product/support guys.

5. Dark mode is currently not in the pipeline.

I hope I was able to answer all your questions.

Do you have any demo or feature listing of your automations?

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 4, 2021

We have a very basic level of automations as of now, we call it sequences. An email sequence is a series of emails automatically sent to a segment of your subscribers. You can create a welcome email series or re-engage with your existing subscribers with our easy-to-setup sequence builder.

You can read more about sequences here - https://help.muxemail.com/en/articles/4542300-how-to-create-an-email-sequence

April 6, 2021

Can we have a configuration that lets us remove the Edit button in the Create Sequence page?
Currently, to edit every email in a sequence, we need to click the Edit button first.
This is so tedious. It gives us additional steps just to edit the emails, which is not so comfortable as in other ESP such as ConvertKit, etc.

Nihal from MuxEmail

What is the point of stacking codes up to 5 codes?
If I stack 3 codes to get 75,000 contacts, I have to pay $59 x 3 = $77 while I can buy tier 2 for $159.
If I stack 5 codes to get unlimited contacts, I have to pay $59 x 5 = $295 while I can buy tier 3 for $269.
Can you just remove the code stacking from the deal page as it is confusing?

Nihal from MuxEmail
April 7, 2021

Your calculation seems to be a bit off.

f you stack 3 codes to get 75,000 contacts, you'll have to pay $59 x 3 = $177 while you can buy tier 2 for $159.
If you stack 5 codes to get unlimited contacts, you have to pay $59 x 5 = $295 while I can buy tier 3 for $269.

This type of pricing has been introduced to reward the people who buy the higher tier plan in a single go.

Just came from the great live launch event - fantastic looking service. I asked a question, which is to clarify the Workspaces concept. In our use-case with Sendy, we can have multiple brands set up where the client is able to login, view/manage campaigns and subscribers.
- What degree of client access is available under a 'Workspace' and can a team member be limited in access to specific client brands?
- If we are using our own SES accounts for delivery, what is the * Subject to fair usage limitation so we can understand what is and is not allowed under the platform. With SES, deliverability issues fall under our client's purview, unlike a sending-included service like MailPoet where it would be understandable to ban a user for low performing campaigns.

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 4, 2021

Hey Zack,

-Workspaces are basically sub-accounts you can create inside a parent account. You can invite as many users as you want to these sub-accounts. All of the invited users have a role assigned to them (Admin or Editor). Depending on the role they have been assigned, users will be able to perform/not perform certain actions.
-Subject to fair usage limitation means that you should not use MuxEmail or Amazon SES to send out cold emails. Amazon has its own algorithm in place which can identify when their systems are being used to send out cold emails, and in turn ban you from using their services. Similarly we are also actively developing systems which will be able to identify cold email broadcasts and ban your account permanently.

rstevenson09
April 7, 2021

Congrats on the launch! Can Muxemail be using in conjunction with a mail warming service like Mailivery that recently launched on DT?

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 5, 2021

Mailivery looks like a platform which is used by sales teams to send out cold emails. MuxEmail is not made for cold emails so I suggest that you do not use MuxEmail to send out cold emails. Our systems will be able to detect the unusual activity and ban your account.

So to answer your question, we do not have a direct integration with Mailivery.

tonychincg
April 7, 2021

Congrats on the launch. I have a few questions.

1. I need to know how many emails can send out per day? Is there any limit that we can send per day?

2. If I purchase 3 code now there is 75000 contacts. If I have 100000 contacts after 1 year how much I need to pay for the extra 25000 contacts?

Nihal from MuxEmail
April 7, 2021

1. The number of emails you are able to send out in a day depends on the limit provided by your Amazon SES account. Generally Amazon sets the limit at 50,000 emails per day (but this number can vary)

2. This LTD deal is valid for the next 30 days, so I recommend that if you feel like you'll surpass your 75,000 contacts threshold, buy the unlimited plan.

Just saw in the FB group that 2 workspaces are allowed for tier 1 and 5 for tier 2 and 20 for tier 3, will the workspaces increase the more we stack? Can we stack tier 2?

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 5, 2021

The number of workspaces you get completely depends on the tier you fall into. So if you stack your tier 1 codes and move onto tier 2, the number of workspaces will increase from 2 to 5, similarly if you stack your codes to move onto tier 3, your number of workspaces will increase from 5 to 20.

Note - The maximum number of workspaces you can create in any account is limited to 20.

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 5, 2021

Yes the workspaces will increase the more you stack with an upper limit of 20 for the highest tier.

Do you support or will you support CNAME?

If I remember correctly, CNAME is used in a few places for Sendy:
1) I can have my own signup for like subscribe.mydomain.com (of course it is better to have a web-form directly on your website)
2) I can have my own unsubcribe page using my domain giving the user the option to re-subscribe? So basically the user clicks unsubscribe and they are taken to a page like unsubscribe.mydomain.com and there is a button that gives them the option to resubscribe. I also beleive Sendy also has an option to set a custom unsubscribe link along with the ability to pass url parameters like name and email encoded in the URL
3) Sendy has a view email in browser setting. Not sure how useful this is but I think this is if someone had a crappy email client where the email doesn't render properly then you could view it in the browser instead and that would also be hosted on your own domain.

Out of the 3 mentioned above the critical one is CNAME for the unsubscribe link.

We do not have CNAME support as of now, but we do plan to support it in the future.

I was there in the live launch hope your vision for this tool would be a great success.

Hey there

1. Right now we only support Amazon SES, but we have plans to support other SMTPs soon.
2. You cannot create AMP emails as of now, but its in our roadmap. No sending limit will be imposed.
3. No, you cannot export the emails as of now.
4. Basic automation can be performed, but to plan complete customer journey you'll be needing a visual flow builder (we'll start working on it by the end of May)
6. Yes
7. What do you mean by batch sending, can you elaborate? User time zone based sending is in the roadmap.

If we require more workspaces for tier 3 what would be the additional costs?

Hello DigitalThink!

1. Can you help understand with "Workspace" and what is the use case?

2. There are 2 workspaces for Tier 1, can i create a sub-account for my partner to access the other workspace?

Thanks!

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 5, 2021

Workspaces are basically sub-accounts you can create inside a parent account. You can invite as many users as you want to these sub-accounts. All of the invited users have a role assigned to them (Admin or Editor). Depending on the role they have been assigned, users will be able to perform/not perform certain actions.

I still don't fully understand the concept of workspace. Let's say I buy tier 1 ($59), hence eligible for 2 workspaces with 25,000 contacts each. My questions are:
1) Can I use both workspaces for one business? Meaning, in total, can I have 50,000 contacts divided into two workspaces?
2) Do I need to create a new AWS account for each workspace?
3) Do I need to create a new AWS user for each workspace?

Hey, workspaces are basically sub - accounts you can create and connect with a parent account. You can invite people to these workspaces and they will be able to perform certain actions depending on the role they have been assigned (admin or editor).

1. Yes.
2. If you want you can, but you can also have a common AWS account for all the workspaces.
3. If you want you can, or you can simply copy the existing access key and secret access key id.

Hello,

a few questions:

1. Do you have automations with conditional workflows (if user has clicked do x). Like ActiveCampaign?

2. Can we have an automation inside an email where if people click on a link they get tagged? Like ActiveCampaign

Nihal from MuxEmail
April 8, 2021

Hey there! Currently we do not have automations with conditional workflows, but it's in the roadmap.

I saw that you don't have an automation builder, you only work with sequences ...

Is the Automation Builder on the roadmap?

if not, I would use "only" for Broadcast ...

Nihal from MuxEmail

Yes, automation builder is on the roadmap.

Does MuxEmail integrate with mail warming services such as Mailivery?

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 5, 2021

Mailivery looks like a platform which is used by sales teams to send out cold emails. MuxEmail is not made for cold emails so I suggest that you do not use MuxEmail to send out cold emails. Our systems will be able to detect the unusual activity and ban your account.

So to answer your question, we do not have a direct integration with Mailivery.

Hi, I saw that the automation builder is on the roadmap

how can we access the roadmap?

Can we give suggestions on what would be cool to have?

What is the forecast for the first version of the automation builder?

Do you have plans for building out the functionality for transactional emails and event based emails?

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 5, 2021

Yes we do, but I cannot give you an ETA as to when it will go live.

April 9, 2021

Hey, amazing job so far. You are really making a great progress.

As far as feature requests go, is your team open to anything?

It seems the real profits are made from products like Activecampaign where you integrate the user behavior from outside the email platform to shape the email campaigns.

-lead scoring
-website/app interactions
-the ability to add events or triggers from 3rd parties
-pull in 3rd party data to dynamically create transaction emails

Would products features like this be inline with your goal?

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 5, 2021

Hey there, lead scoring is a feature which will not be there. But all the other features you listed down are in our roadmap.

Hi,

This looks cool. Probably would buy the highest tier. I have some questions though:

1. Any ETA on WooCommerce integration? Will it support transactional email from Wordpress + WooCommerce (order confirmation, shipping, etc)
2. Will web tracking feature like Klaviyo's be developed?
3. Can we trigger automation based on the triggers received from 3rd party apps / software?

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 5, 2021

Hey,

1. We haven't started developing it so won't be able to give you an ETA on that.
2. Yes
3. You can use Zapier and Pabbly connect to connect MuxEmail to 3rd party apps and implement basic automation. You can also use our APIs to do so.

Since Muxmail does not have HTML mail import (or cut-paste) and drag-drop campaign builder yet, then I guess we can evaluate based on send-out performance for now...

1. Where is Muxmail servers based in (eg. Germany)? And which server provider (eg. AWS)?

2. If Amazon SES provides a Max Send Rate: 80 emails/second, what is the Max Send Rate of Muxmail?

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 5, 2021

Hey there, we do have a drag and drop builder. I guess you are talking about visual automation builder. It's in our roadmap and we'll start working on it by the end of May.

1. MuxEmail servers are based in the US and server provider is AWS
2. Since MuxEmail sends emails from your Amazon SES, we do not put any restriction on the send rate

If I purchase Tier 1 deal, and I reach the 25k contact limit, is there an option to buy more contacts and subscribe to a subscription at a discount rate?

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 5, 2021

No, you'll have to shift to the monthly recurring plan. So i suggest that if you feel that you are going to overgrow your limit, but a higher plan.

Hello, I think it is an amazing product. Will we have access to all future updates? I am not sure what the "freedom plan" means. Of if there will be some higher plan. Also, where are the servers located geographically? Thanks.

Nihal from MuxEmail
May 6, 2021

Yes you will have access to all the future updates. Freedom Plan is our highest tier plan with a pricing of $59/month. So whatever updates people in the Freedom Plan will get, you will get also.

Our servers are located in the US.
